CyberPower Switched & Monitored Power Distribution Units Are Now Cisco EnergyWise Certified

CyberPower, the world-leading power solutions provider, announced that its Monitored and Switched Series Power Distribution Units are validated as Cisco® EnergyWise™ compliance via Cisco’s Interoperability Verification Testing.

The EnergyWise initiative focuses on reducing the energy consumption of all devices connected to a Cisco network ranging from Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices such as IP phones and wireless access points, to IP-enabled building and lightning controllers. This technology allows companies to reduce their carbon footprint by measuring and managing power consumption of network devices hence optimize energy usage and realize significant cost savings with a clear return on investment throughout the enterprise.

Through this compatibility, these PDU products are recognized to work with other EnergyWise-enabled entities and can be easily monitored and controlled to achieve the best energy performance under the EnergyWise operation framework. In addition, CyberPower has adopted numerous Green practices throughout the enterprise, including qualification of ENERGY STAR®, patented energy-saving GreenPower UPS™ Technology, compliance with RoHS and WEEE, certification in ISO 14001 and IECQ QC 080000, and other ongoing “Greening” of all practices to ensure a maximum contribution to the environment.

Except of being EnergyWise-compatible, CyberPower Monitored and Switched PDU products also demonstrate feature-rich engineering excellences in versatility, scalability and remote management capability. The CyberPower Management Console offers real-time remote monitoring of PDU vitals. For Switched Series PDUs, administrator could further perform programmed power on/off or reboot individual outlet and networked clients. Event logging could be easily accessed via a web browser/network connection to review history on power conditions, such as input voltages, load levels, and outlet status. Automatic event notifications via Email, SMS or SNMP Trap are sent to designated user when specified power events occur.

CyberPower will continue working with Cisco for a full-range of EnergyWise compatibility across other products. For more information about CyberPower’ Cisco EnergyWise certified PDUs, please clicks here for details.
