CyberPower participates the development of Energy Star specification for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
On Feb 3, 2010, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has launched the development project of Energy Star specification for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and invited major UPS manufacturers to take part in. Regard “Green Marketing”
as one the key ambition,CyberPower, the world-leading UPS provider, has been taking positive actions in the partnership to ensure the devotion in environmental protection.

ENERGY STAR®, a joint program between government, businesses and individuals, is nourished with the intention to promote environmental protection through energy-efficient products and practices, in this case, the product specification for UPS. Thanks to the joint efforts from all stakeholders, the solid outlines of UPS classification, test procedures, corresponding requirements and etc. have been made after the running of 2 draft versions. With the spec now approaching to the final stage, EPA has officially announced that the effective date of UPS specification will be on 14th of October, 2011.
